The Emergency department
The Emergency Medicine department at Pôle Santé Saint Jean at Cagnes-sur-Mer (near Nice in the Alpes Maritimes) is the 1st private accident and emergency department in the area, in terms of number of patients seen.
In 2016: 34,825 patients treated.
Renowned for the quality of the services provided, its place within the healthcare complex guarantees excellent treatment of all emergencies, in compliance with Emergency Medical Care standards, available 24h a day, with certified quality equipment.
- Emergency doctors on site 24h a day, 365 days/year.
- X-ray, biology or scan examinations possible 24h a day
- Network with other healthcare centres, to redirect or transfer patients when required.
The hospital's specialist doctors (orthopedic surgeons, hand surgeons, digestive surgeons, etc.) are on-call and intervene, if necessary, for second-line treatment. They work full-time for the hospital, ensuring almost immediate, quality care.
We aim to see our patients quickly and do all we can to ease their pain as fast as possible.
We will receive any patient in an emergency situation, 24h a day, 7 days a week.
The treatment of Orthopedic Emergencies has been certified ISO 9001 (2008 version) every year since June 2006.
A new service at the Saint Jean private general hospital in Cagnes-sur-Mer Accident and Emergency department:
The Saint Jean private general hospital Accident and Emergency department has opened a new service to treat all spinal pathologies in a personalised manner: SOS DOS (SOS BACK).
- Receive and treat all patients with lumbar, cervical and back pain, 24h a day and 7 days a week;
- Manage their pain efficiently;
- Do an MIR scan if necessary, without delay;
- Offer patients a specialist medical examination within 24h.
SOS DOS programme is part of our Centre Azuréen du Dos (Côte d'Azur Back Centre) project, which is expected to open in January 2017. Led by spine surgeons, this centre will offer general and optimal treatment of all back pathologies, by a trained multidisciplinary team.
